Uses an application window system where applicants apply during a scheduled window of time. Company then hires from available pool. First officer application window typically opens 2-3 weeks each year
Minimum Pilot Requirements to Apply (for non-gateway program):
- Airline Transport Pilot rating
- 1500 hours total time in airplanes
- Current FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate
- Greater than 1,000 hours turbine pilot in command time preferred.
- Greater than 1,000 hours in more sophisticated aircraft preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Three reference letters from Pilots who can personally attest to the candidate’s flying skills
